There will be Sunoco 110 race fuel available at MKMC, all fuel must be purchased from MKMC and all fuel must pass WKA fuel tech, random testing of fuel jug contents during the race is possible at any time.
No fast fueling rigs allowed, jug and funnel or jug with hose (3/4” ID max on hose, 3/4" ID must be maintained for at least the last 15 inches of hose). Must be a fuel approved container, no milk jugs, maximum of one 5 gallon fuel jug allowed in fueling area per team at any time. Fuel jug must have team name and kart number. ALL FUELING MUST BE DONE IN APPROVED FUELING AREAS ONLY. Any fueling done outside of fueling area at any time during the weekend will result in entry fee forfeiture and disqualification. Driver must be out of kart with engine off, before fueling.
Gas and oil only, must pass WKA fuel tech, random fuel testing may be done in the pits at anytime.
Standard floor mount fuel tanks only, no Enduro or 10 quart tanks allowed, one fuel tank per kart allowed, maximum fuel line length is 4 feet. Maximum fuel capacity is 9 liters.
One battery operated impact wrench allowed per team, no air impacts.
Engines must be shut off during pit stops and driver must exit the kart before any work is started, including fueling.
No on track chain oiling systems allowed.
All lead weight must be painted white and cotter keyed or double nutted. No added weight on driver allowed. NO EXCEPTIONS!
No belt drives, chain drive only.
All teams must have a fire extinguisher in their pit box and on grid during feature race.
No on board radios for driver to pit and/or pit to driver communications, there will be a designated area to signal your driver with a pit board. Flagman will not flag your driver off the track for fueling or pitting.
MG SLE
tires are mandatory on all karts, 10x4.60-5 front, 11x7.10-5 rear. Number of sets of
tires used during the race per team is unlimited, all tires must pass pre-race
inspection and inspected prior to coming into grid. No doping of tires, random
checking of tires may be done at any time.
Race will be held rain or shine and it is at the drivers/team discretion to pit for
rain or dry tires during the race. In the event of a damp or wet track before the
start of the race, the race director will make a decision to start the race on rain
tires or slicks. After the drop of the green flag it is at teams/drivers discretion
to run rain tires or slick tires.
Rule Change....(3-17-07) Rain tires must be MG WZ, 10x4.20-5 front, 11x6.00-5 rear. Tires
are available for sale at MKMC and can be purchased up until the feature event.
The use of a backup kart will NOT be allowed. One spare engine is allowed per team. Engine must be presented to Tech prior to qualification.
TaG karts may use onboard or external starters during the race, all onboard starter components must be installed on the kart however.
All
TaG karts will be weighed following qualifying with the driver who qualified
the kart. Before the start of the feature, all Tag drivers will be weighed in
their TaG kart and the kart will be impounded on the grid until the start of
the race.
Rule Update....(3-17-07) During pit stops all drivers & kart will be
required to weigh when coming into the pits, prior to any work being done. Crew
members are not allowed to touch the kart prior to scales. Any violation will
result in penalty, including and up to disqualification.
Any
TaG engine is eligible if class offered as per WKA
